Tip: Your Best Bet

What is your best bet for taking on a new accent? Find an experienced language coach with training in cross-cultural communication. Speech pathologists look for errors in your speech based on one language's lens but may lack the ability to address cultural components that make a big difference in language addition.

Tip: Think of Yourself as an Actor

Are you having trouble with accent addition? Think of yourself as an actor playing the part of someone speaking the new language. Sometimes this helps you overcome cultural hurdles holding you back.
